Diablo 2 Multires Patch 1.13c
I updated to the 1.13c patch (I have D2 and LOD) and I get this when I try to run D2MultiResGame.exe - 'ERROR: Unable to load D2MultiRes.dll. Exiting Diablo 2.' Funny thing is the dll is in the folder along with the other three files, just like the readme instructed.
Hey first off I'd like to say thank you for making D2 playable again. I've run into a bit of a problem. I have D2SE installed and I can run every version of the game in Glide, except version 1.13c. Every time I want to start it nothing happens at all. Sony xperia update service. If I click 'Start D2' there are some strange letters in the upper left corner of the screen but nothing happens until I terminate the process. As I said, I can run every other version of the game and have played those without issue. I would not mind playing on 1.12a but I wanted to try out Median and as far as I know ver 1.13c is a prerequisite for that.
I Installed Median to the mod folder and as expected, I would not run but show the exact same behavior as when I try to start the Plugin in ver 1.13c. Do you guys have any ideas what might be the problem? Cheers, Perks. The installer is for version 1.12. Atm i didn't have found a 1.13c/d installer i could include so u have to patch the 1.12 installer to 1.13d via the patch from the link above.
Thats the only way for now until Seltsamuel got the fix for 1.14. Edit: after u installed Diablo via the Installer don't start the game. As soon as u join Battle.net u have 1.14 (on normal internet speed i take less then 2 seconds to get that update).
If the patcher doesn't work it looks like u have 1.14 installed. -> if u have 1.12 and the patcher doesn't work, try to search for 'Diablo 2 LOD 1.13c Patch' (or 1.13d, both work). Oh great, thanks again!
I've extracted the contents of the ultimative_xvi.1.zip in a folder called Median in the Mods folder of the Diablo II directory. I basically followed this guide except for the BorderlessGaming part, because I prefer to play just as is at the moment. When I launch D2SE Meridian shows up as an option, but when I try to launch it nothing happens. I see the D2SE running as a process in the Task Manager though. Changing settings doesn't make a difference. Maybe an important part of information: I cannot start Original Diablo II (clicking on Start D2 in D2SE), because it just ends up as a non responding process in the Task manager.
I can, however, start any patch version via the D2SE plugin. Any Ideas where to start? Are u going to play Median in SP? Multires isn't allowed on Realm there. Therefore, for SP change the Version in D2SE_Setup.ini to 1.12a since Multires is for 1.12a. If u trying to use it on Realm, u have to search for the fixed 1.13c Multires plugin, i won't post it here. Edit: Where u got that Plugy.ini from?
In the original Patch, it is located into de Patch_D2.mpq. Maybe u have some trouble with that. Did u tried to disable Plugy? Also use compatibility modus for Win XP/ Win 7 if u are using Win8 or higher. I'm trying to play offline. The contents of my D2SE_SETUP in the Mod folder look like this [ D2SE] CreatedFor=2.2.0 [ USERSETTINGS] Renderer=3 WindowMode=0 EnableHC=1 EnablePlugY=1 Language=MOD SkiptoBNet=0 NoSound=0 [ Protected] D2Core=1.12a ModName=Median XL Ultimative ModTitle=by MarcoNecroX & Brother Laz ModMajorVersion=XVI ModMinorVersion= ModBanner=D2SE_XVI.bmp ModBoard=ModAllowHC=1 ModAllowSPFeature=1 ModAllowPlugY=1 ModUsePatch_D2=1 RealmGateway=37.221.195.51 RealmTimezone=2 RealmGatewayName=The Sin War RealmSelected=The Sin War RealmPort=4000 [ END-Protected] [ END] endoffile=4711 It came with the Mod. I changed the line D2Core=1.13c to 1.12a and it started and I even could create a character.
